This is part of my works on abandoned buildings and explorers who venture across these buildings and may come across a ghost or two every now and again. The idea of finding an abandoned hotel or mental asylum inspired me to illustrate a lost soul in an old room with a vintage bed and the sense that the place has been left behind to be trashed and used by squatters over time. The window's shadow is on the roof instead of the floor to depict a creepy sense that the room is not entirely alone, but perhaps in use.

Medium: Watercolour, ink and wash, gouache and collaging (newspaper bits) on cold press 190gsm watercolour paper
