Freddy Frontier Saves the One

This is a drawing I did for the upcoming AvCon (games convention) to be held between 23 July and 25th July - AvCon www.avcon.org.au/2010/. We were required to draw a character in a pose of our own choice and our own style. I chose to draw Freddy Frontier from the old game Freddy Frontier the Pharmacist made by Sierra, from the late 80's or early 90's. The game info can be found at www.freddypharkas.com/

I chose to do him and with a snail because it holds great memories of when I was 15-16 and I played it for ages and the particular part where the old frontier town had a snail stampede come in was the funniest incident in the game, and thats where and how I got the nickname Snail from because the snail that Freddy picked up had a funny face which I imitated the face of, and at the time I also had my hair up in a pony tail which looked like the snail's shell and a photo was taken of me with that hairstyle and face so the name stuck and has evolved into gypsysnail . This fan art that I have done adds a twist to the game story where Freddy not only kills off the snails with beer in the game (true part) but tries to save one randomly strange snail with a benodyl acid medicine (I made this up) and he sets himself down to watch the snail slide off on her own after recovering from the beer, so he knows she is safe... she is a rather special snail, not like her siblings or relatives or friends who are rather ordinary nuisance snails lol. This part where he saves this snail is the twist I made up to the story.
